Sandipani Gurukul is the regular syllabus driven education system that is academic oriented and deploys teaching in the medium of English and Gujarati languages in Science and Commerce streams.
Established in the year 2003, Sandipani Gurukul is a culturally enriched campus within Sandipani Vidyaniketan. Under the mentorship of Pujya Bhaishri Rameshbhai Oza and affiliated to Gujarat secondary education board, it has achieved a reputation for delivering holistic education from Kindergarten to Standard 12 with over 1,500 students (825 students in English medium and 785 students in Gujarati medium) as of 2017.
The school provides knowledge to induce professionalism and thus lays the foundation to create professionals enriched with values and Indian heritage. Education provided is based on cultural and humanitarian values as well as produce persons of great calibre along with leaders for the betterment of society at large.
Pujya Bhaishri says, “It is natural that students aspire to become professionals such as Doctors and Engineers but it is more important to become good human beings.”.
Academic Programme
Sandipani Gurukul provides Science and Commerce streams in English and Gujarati Medium.
Gurukul starts with lower and upper KG (age 3-4 years) and then to standard 1 to 12 (age 5 – 17 years).
Sandipani Gurukul is affiliated to Gujarat Secondary Educational Board and follows its syllabus as per their guidelines. The subjects taught are according to education standards imparted in normal schools.

Sanskrit, the mother of all languages, is taught in Gurukul as a compulsory subject from class 6 in accordance with the Gujarati Board.
Remedial programmes are provided for students who require support to keep pace with the class.
Special concessions are provided to students who face learning challenges.
From the 5th Standard, boys are also provided with the choice of staying in the hostel. The Gurukul Hostel is exclusive in pr oviding a disciplined, academic and recreational schedule in the cultural and spiritual environment of Sandipani.

Sandipani Gurukul provides education to girls at 75% of the fees of boys so that parents are encouraged to educate their daughters also. It is Pujya Bhaishri’s vision to aid and promote the education of girls, especially in the villages of India where this is not a priority nor considered important by parents.

As of the year 2017, A total of 284 students have successfully completed and passed from Grade 12 Science stream and 176 students from the Commerce stream from the English medium school. In addition, 6 students from the Science stream and 16 students from the Commerce stream have successfully completed and passed from the 12th grade Gujarati medium school.
Gurukul Admission Process and Fees
The following are the steps in the admission process for entry into Sandipani Gurukul:
Application forms are issued from the first week of May. Applications forms are also available in PDF below.
Closing date for applications is 31st July.
For admission into Grades 4 to 8, students are invited to take an oral test. The pass mark is 50%.
From Grade 9, a written test in Maths and English must be taken and results of Grade 8 submitted. The pass mark is 60%.
Admission into Grade 11 Science and Commerce is based on the results of the Board Exam. Pass mark for Science is 60% and Commerce is 50%.
Parents are informed if a child is successful within a week. At this point, a letter is also issued to inform the items to bring should the students wish to reside in the hostel.

Audio visual rooms

Sandipani Gurukul Boys Hostel
- From class 5, boys are given the choice of staying at the Hostel till they complete class 12. New admissions are not given in the hostel for classes 11 & 12.

The hostel provides a disciplined academic and recreational schedule in the cultural and spiritual environment of Sandipani.
- Students in Gurukul Hostel enjoy a variety of co-curricular activities, which include outdoor games for physical development and indoor games for mental development and recreation. Classes are also provided in music, drama and martial arts.
- Meals provided at the hostel are pure and vegetarian based upon the menu prepared in consultation with the dietician.
- A doctor visits the hostel twice a week, examines students and provides the necessary advice for further medical treatment if required.

- Students can join weekly clubs such as maths, sports, karate, debate, public-speaking, science and nature, Art & Craft, dance and drama to provide opportunities to specialise in activities they enjoy.
- Club activities provide avenues of self-identity and self-assessment with a view to developing innate skills and motivation for learning various physical, psychological, ethical, academic, social and cultural values.

Interhouse Activities:
Co-curricular activities provide students with an opportunity to develop particular skills such as effective time management and brings out their hidden talents.
- Interhouse activities are conducted every Wednesday.
- Gurukul is divided into four houses: Gandhi, Nehru, Tilak and Tagore.
- Each student is allocated to one house under the supervision of a house master.
- The house system fosters a spirit of co-operation and healthy competition.
- By being a member of the house, students and teachers are encouraged to foster team spirit.
- All houses have the opportunity to earn house points by participating in various activities throughout the year.
- A winning house trophy is then awarded in the Gurukul Annual function.

- Theme-based exhibitions are organised during the year in our Gurukul.
- The main objective of the exhibitions is to encourage students to think outside the box and develop communication, public-speaking, teamwork and research skills.
